Fans furious as Team GB boxer ‘absolutely robbed’ and knocked out of Olympics 2024 by ‘all over the shop’ opponent
FANS have claimed that Lewis Richardson was “robbed” of a chance to fight for gold at the Paris Olympics.
The Team GB boxer was judged to have lost to Mexican fighter Marco Verde in the 76kg semi-final.

And fans on social media could not believe it as they were sure that Richardson had dominated the bout.

A second wrote: “Richardson robbed there. A close fight by all means but no way Verde edged it.”
A third commented: “Yet another complete mess in the boxing. Hard luck, Richardson. You were absolutely robbed. The scoring in this Olympics has been terrible.”
A fourth said: That is a complete and total robbery!

After the fight, Richardson admitted that he was “devastated”.
He told the BBC: “It is devasting. It is raw.
“Emotions are very high, and I am obviously disappointed to miss the final and box for a gold medal.
“Hopefully, I will look back and be proud and happiness in the future.”
