ENID, Okla. (KFOR) — As first reported by the Frontier, the Garfield County District Attorney's Office has dismissed charges against several Enid caretakers accused of abusing clients with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.

Enid Police first started investigating the Greer Center in Enid in 2023 after a former employ at the facility claimed the clients were victims of systematic abuse involving multiple caretakers.

The Greer Center is a short-term facility for adult clients with intellectual disabilities who also have co-occurring mental illness and/or severe behavioral challenges.

News 4 obtained court documents for six former Greer Center caretakers—Jonathan Colon Orozco, Gavin Foster, Edward Russell Webster, Jhon Nieto, Jonathan Martinez and Adlai Flores.

According to court records, the caretakers' charges were dropped after the court was "unable to locate a necessary witness," despite testimony from around half a dozen witnesses in January.
