Electric City Poker Series returning to Rivers Casino

Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady announced the return of their Electric City Poker Series.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Rivers Casino and Resort announced the return of their Electric City Poker Series. The second annual event will run from September 19 through September 29.

The series will host 10 tournaments across 11 days, featuring multiple poker formats, including Hold 'Em, Omaha and Stud. There will also be variant play-style events such as Rivers Revival, where players can re-enter after their first elimination, and the fast-paced, high-chip count Uber Stack Turbo event.

The heart of the series is the Main Event, a No-Limit Hold 'Em tournament with an $800 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. The tournaments will take place in the casino's Poker Room and Van Slyck’s lounge.

Rivers Casino is located at 1 Rush Street in Schenectady. Registration for all Electric City Poker Series events opens two hours before the start time on the day of the event. Registration can be completed in the Rivers Poker Room.
