Lake Charles man accused of rape of girl under 10
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A Lake Charles man is charged with raping a girl under the age of 10, authorities said.
Jonathan J. Landry, 34, of Lake Charles, is charged with first degree rape after turning himself in.
On July 1 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint that Landry sexually assaulted a girl under the age of 10. After further investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on July 11, when detectives attempted to locate Landry but were unsuccessful, officials said.
Landry turned himself in Sunday, at which time he was arrested, booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with first degree rape. His bond is set at $1 million.
