Mays keeps Shawnee County commission seat

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Shawnee County District 3 Commissioner Incumbent Aaron Mays will keep his seat.

Mays, who has been a commissioner since 2019, beat Republican opponent Brett Blackburn 3,267 to 2,234. According to the Shawnee County Election Office, no Democratic candidate registered to run for the District 3 Commission seat, so this election will not appear on the November ballot.
