The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) planned a new 36km metro line from Sector 56 to Panchgaon, featuring 28 elevated stations with an interchange at Rapid Metro's existing line. A discussion was held at the board meeting chaired by Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad. The detailed project report by RITES is expected soon, incorporating current and future population data and traffic patterns. The corporation also observed increased ridership in Rapid Metro, with plans for additional lines from Gurgaon to Faridabad and Millennium City Centre to AIIMS-Jhajjar progressing in their initial stages.
