ARSENAL return to English soil TODAY with a tough pre-season fixture against German champions Bayer Leverkusen – and fans could finally get to see their summer signing in action.
The Gunners had an indifferent US tour having drew 2-2 with Bournemouth before beating bitter rivals Manchester United in LA.
But Mikel Arteta’s men concluded their Stateside schedule with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Arne Slot’s Liverpool.
However, the highlight of the tour was the unveiling of Italian stallion Riccardo Calafiori who signed from Bologna for £42 million.
And the Gooners will be hoping that Calafiori is given his first run out at the Emirates against Bayern.
Another interesting aspect to this match is that ex-Arsenal skipper Granit Xhaka returns to north London for the first time since he left last summer and he’ll be desperate to make his mark on the game.
