Manchester United are still looking for a new midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The Premier League season is less than ten days away and the Red Devils are still looking to make more additions to their squad.
They have already signed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro this summer to strengthen their attack and their defense.
However, a midfielder is needed to control the tempo of the game and bring composure to the team when they have the possession.
According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the Red Devils have identified a number of targets for the midfield position.
Sheth wrote on his X account:

One of the players they are considering is Real Sociedad midfielder and long term Arsenal target Martin Zubimendi.
The midfielder is being chased by Mikel Arteta for a long time but he has been unable to secure the signature of the Spanish player.
Man United need a player to command their midfield
Zubimendi recently claimed that he is not bothered about his future and the rumours linking him with a move away from the club.
Along with Arsenal, the Real Sociedad player was being eyed by Bayern Munich but so far nothing has materialised on his future away from the Spanish club.
Man United are eyeing a move for him this summer and he is one of the several targets they have identified.
