Blackburn Rovers are missing out on Dutch goalkeeper Jeffrey de Lange, who was absent from training at Go Ahead Eagles this morning.

 

John Eustace is in the market for another goalkeeper and Blackburn have been working on a deal for De Lange.

 

Hopes were raised that he would be heading from Ewood Park when it emerged that De Lange had missed training this morning.

 

 

However, it is not to Blackburn that De Lange is moving and he is instead heading for French giants Marseille, according to Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

 

The Ligue 1 side are currently in talks with Go Ahead Eagles to wrap up the deal.

 

 

Marseille have been backing new boss Roberto De Zerbi in the transfer market this summer and they are trying to hand him De Lange.

 

De Lange, 26, made 38 appearances across all competitions for Go Ahead Eagles last season and kept eleven clean sheets.

 

 

Missing out on the shot-stopper will be a blow for Blackburn, who must now switch their attention elsewhere.
