Tree splits down the middle, lands on car in Queens during storms
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A tree split down the middle and landed on a car in Queens Tuesday night, according to a video posted to Citizen App.
It happened on 204th Street just after 11 p.m. The tree in the video looks healthy.
Trees that are damaged in storms can tip over later, even if they survive.
Heavy storms drenched the tri-state area Tuesday night into Wednesday, leaving flooding and damage in its wake. Cars got stuck on major roadways that flooded, an MTA bus flooded and a utility pole sparked in New York City.
