Near Record Heat for the Start of School
Good luck to all students heading back to school in Acadiana today. Temperatures are in the upper 70s to lower 80s this morning, making for sauna-like conditions outside. Triple digit heat will be back this afternoon with a high near 101°. Our heat index could get as hot as 120°. Stay cool and safe.
Near-record heat continues for the next few days. A weak cold front over the weekend could bring some slight relief to our area.
