Why Charley Hull says Olympic smoking ban may affect her shot at golf gold

The golfer known for ripping darts won't light them up in Olympic golf this week.

Charley Hull was recently called the Jon Daley of women’s golf after she was seen puffing on cigarettes at a tournament.

But you won’t see her ripping darts at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Why is that?

Simple: there’s a smoking ban at the Games. And that might actually have an effect on Hull’s shot to win a medal for Great Britain.

Per GolfWeek, she had this to say: “I do smoke on the course. It’s a habit, but I won’t do this week.”

She said it helps relax her, but accepted the rules by simply saying, “It is what it is.”
