Dishonored creator leaves cryptic hint that fans will see more like the series ‘in a few days’

EVEN when people are fans of a long-running series, they can often admit that some games are not as good as the others.

However, there are a few series that are back-to-back hits, where every entry is considered a must-play title.

There are only a few games in the Dishonored series, but fans would agree that every game is fantastic.

The first game in the series were co-created by Raphaël Colantonio while he consulted on the second, and were both highly rated.

Dinga Bakaba continued the series with Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Deathloop, both of which were released after Colantonio left the studio in 2017.

However, before Colantonio left, he also directed Prey, another highly-rated and beloved game in the immersive simulation genre.

Colantonio’s games are considered some of the best that the genre has to offer, though he has worked on something different since founding his new smaller studio, WolfEye Studios.

The studio released Weird West, directed by Colantonio, and while it was also successful, the game was very different from his previous titles with Arkane.

Weird West is a mix of immersive sim and isometric RPG, again pushing the boundaries of various genres.

While fans are glad that Colantonio is continuing to create his unique style of games, they still miss games like Dishonored.

Bakaba has taken over the IP, but Deathloop is a very different game set in the Dishonored universe.

It seems that fans may finally be getting everything they want, as Colantonio has teased an upcoming announcement for a new game he’s developing.

Taking to Twitter, Colantonio told fans that he’d reveal more about WolfEye Studios’ next game shortly. 

The tweet reads: “We’ll reveal a bit more about our next game in a few days.

“Fans of the previous first-person games I was involved with (Dishonored and Prey) will be happy.”

While the tweet was just a small teaser of what will come, this didn’t stop fans from being thrilled in the comments.

One person wrote: “I try not to feed into hype, but this might be the most hype tweet ever.”

Another said: “Now that’s a tweet that really makes you smile!

“Really looking forward to seeing what you have coming up and the creative vision that will be put into the game.”
