‘I would pass out’ people cry as bride reveals wedding rules her guests HATED & they question how she even has friends
A BRIDE has left people shocked after sharing her list of strict wedding rules – which ever her guests allegedly ”hated”.
When it comes to your big wedding day, you want to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible – which is why one bride, from New York, the US, came up with a lengthy list of Dos and Don’t’s.
But unfortunately for Ivy, who goes by @ivy.eventideas on TikTok, the rules were not welcome by her friends and family who attended the big day – as they were said to ”hate” them.
One of the ”controversial” rules those invited had to abide by was not bothering the DJ with song requests – if your favourite bop hadn’t landed on the playlist, you’d simply have to wait until you get in the car to blast it.
In fact, the bride was so set on having limited music played at the venue, she was ready to sent her guests to the local club if they were desperate to dance to other hits.
No wedding is complete without taking selfies and snaps – however, Ivy had allegedly told her photographer to not take any photos of the guests.
”I did not pay $10,000 for random portraits,” the bride explained her reasoning behind the controversial decision in the video.
Planning a wedding is as stressful as it’s expensive – which is why the event’s organiser immediately binned the idea of bringing plus ones.
Ivy hit back: ”I’m not stressing and paying for strangers I’ve never met.”
Those who had made it to the wedding also had t go alcohol-free for the day, as the bride wanted to ensure everyone actually remembers the special ocassion.
But it seems that it’s not just the attendees who ”hated” the controversial list – hundreds of social media users were far from impressed.
Close to a staggering 2,000 people flocked to comments to share their thoughts on the viral video, which has racked up more than 700l views in just one day.
Several pointed out to the lack of logic, as one said: ”Your guest can’t have a nice photo to remember your wedding but no alcohol to remember your wedding got it.”
A professional agreed, adding: ”As a wedding photographer people asking for pics with their other half is cute IMO and gives you cute pics of your guests looking their best and literally takes 2 seconds.”
Someone else chimed in: ”I mean a private ceremony would have been ok too.
”You don’t need a big party if you don’t even like your guests.”
”I think I skip the wedding,” a fourth joked.
Are wedding rules right or wrong?

Josie Griffiths said: When I was planning my wedding this August, the idea of sending out a list of ‘rules’ never once popped into my mind.
The first two this bride created seem fair enough, but also like they should be common sense, and then they just descend into chaos.
Insisting on “approving” all photos before they go out and ordering guests to stick to a “minimalist” colour palette seems pretty OTT to me.
And rudely telling guests to leave you alone when you arrive at the ceremony and eat your dinner – while also ordering them to come say goodbye before leaving – is a bit mad.
I don’t know how many guests this bride is inviting, but everyone knows weddings can get a bit manic. Of course it’d be nice to greet and say goodbye to everyone personally, but I’ve come to peace with the fact that probably won’t happen.
Like with everything in life, once you get yourself in a tizz about everything happening a certain way, you’re basically setting yourself up for failure.
I don’t pretend to be the most laid-back bride ever and I can’t promise I won’t get a bit stressed if we’re running loads behind on the morning of my wedding, but this is just massively over the top.
I agree with the commenters, I wouldn’t bother going.
”Do you even have any friends you can invite? You sound like a fun person,” a viewer penned, as they sarcastically dubbed Ivy’s hubby ”a lucky guy”.
This comes after another bride took the internet by storm by claiming she forced her guests to help her set up the venue.
The woman, who goes posts under @thepovcameraapp5 on the platform, said she hadn’t hired any staff, so everyone had to do their bit – even her grandad wasn’t spared from the duties despite having a bad back.
There was also a strict two-drinks only ban, as the couple were trying to save as much money as possible and also wanted “to prevent any family drama from too much drinking”.
