The Central Bank of Pakistan has reported a 4.12% increase in the country’s exports to Afghanistan, emphasizing that in the current fiscal year, this figure has risen from $522 million to $544 million.

Pakistani media reported on Tuesday, August 6, that the country’s imports from Afghanistan have decreased by 21.95%, dropping from $15 million to over $11 million.

According to reports, Pakistan’s exports in June amounted to more than $46 million, while the figure was $43.657 million last year.

The Central Bank of Pakistan emphasized that Pakistan’s exports in June this year increased by 5.53% compared to the same period last year.

The Central Bank of Pakistan also reported an 11.53% increase in Pakistan’s exports to other countries, adding that the figures have exceeded $31 billion.

Previously, Pakistani media had also reported an increase in the export of Pakistani goods to Afghanistan.

The imbalance between exports and imports is not a good sign for the sustainable economic development of Afghanistan. Efforts must be made to balance these huge differences between exports and imports to bring actual economic development to the country.

The overall growth in exports to other countries further emphasizes Pakistan’s expanding trade capabilities. Continued progress in trade relations can contribute to economic growth and prosperity in the region, fostering a more stable and interconnected future.
