WATCH: Alaska Airlines plane makes wobbly emergency landing at Oregon airport

An Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Portland International Airport Monday afternoon.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – An Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Portland International Airport (PDX) in Oregon on Monday afternoon.

In footage captured Keith Miller, a UPS operations manager at PXD and a self-described "aviation nerd," the plane's front wheel could be seen wobbling on the runway after touching down at PDX.

"Rough day for @AlaskaAir Horizon AS2020 flight today," Miller wrote on X. "Great job by the crew to keep it on centerline!"

Flight 2020, operated by Horizon Air, was originally slated to arrive in Redmond, Oregon, from Seattle, but diverted to Portland due to a problem with its hydraulic system, an Alaska Airlines spokesperson told Nexstar's KOIN.

The hydraulic system controls "various systems on the aircraft, including control of the nose wheel steering," the spokesperson said.

"Our flight crew is trained for scenarios like this, declared an emergency for priority landing, and landed without incident."

Guests were ultimately accommodated on another plane, which landed in Redmond "about two hours" later than scheduled, according to Alaska Airlines.

The original aircraft is currently under inspection.

"We apologize to our guests for the inconvenience," a spokesperson for the carrier added.
