Arsenal fans say ‘we’re winning the Treble’ after storming into early lead against invincible Bayer Leverkusen

ARSENAL fans have claimed that the club will win the treble after taking an early lead against Bayer Leverkusen.

Mikel Arteta would have been expecting a tough task, given Leverkusen’s undefeated domestic season last term.

However, goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko and Leandro Trossard inside eight minutes put the North London outfit in control.

Zinchenko, wearing his new ‘special’ squad number, bagged the opener with a strike from outside the box in the seventh minute.

Trossard then doubled the lead a minute later as he fired in from close range with both goals being assisted by Kai Havertz.

Fans have been thrilled with Arsenal’s performance as they reacted to the blistering start on social media.

One posted: “We’re winning the treble!.”

A second commented: “We’re gonna win the league.”

A third wrote: “What the hell is going on… we are on a roll.”

A fourth said: “I haven’t even finished celebrating the first one bruv. Relax man.”

A fifth added: “We’re winning it all next season.”

It got even better for the Gunners before half-time as Gabriel Jesus picked up the ball on the halfway line and went all the way to score and make it three.

The match also saw a return to the Emirates for Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss midfielder left the Gunners last summer to join Leverkusen in a £21.5millio deal.

He had a very successful debut season as he helped the club topple Bayern Munich and win the Bundesliga as well as the DFB-Pokal.
