Jack Black Shares Update On Tenacious D Future After Canceling Tour Due to Kyle Gass' Trump Comment

Jack Black is opening up about the future of his band Tenacious D.

The 54-year-old entertainer’s music group with Kyle Gass canceled all remaining tour dates and future creative endeavors mid-July after Gass‘ on-stage comment about the Donald Trump assassination attempt.

While attending the premiere of his upcoming new movie Borderlands in Los Angeles this week, Jack was asked about the future of Tenacious D.

“I love Tenacious D… We had to take a break, but I love the D. Everybody takes a break sometimes,” he told ET. “We’ll be back.”

In another interview at the event, Jack said that he has talked to Kyle, who has been his friend for decades, since the tour cancelation.

“Yeah, we’re friends. That hasn’t changed. These things take time sometimes… And we’ll be back when it feels right,” he told Variety‘s Marc Malkin.
