AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Crux Climbing Center is teaming up with locally-owned businesses Spicy Boys Fried Chicken and Spokesman Coffee to build a climbing gym in Pflugerville, according to a press release.

Leaders at the three Austin businesses said they are excited at the venture, which marks a first for them -- their first locations outside of Austin.

"We’re very excited to open our first location outside of Austin with a great partner in Crux Climbing Center,” said Tim Ramsay, Spicy Boys Fried Chicken operations director, in the release.

“We are proud to be in partnership with Crux Climbing Gym to open our third and most ambitious location,” said C.J. West, Spokesman Coffee co-founder, in the release.
