Four top costume designers will reveal secrets behind their projects when they join Gold Derby’s special “Meet the Experts” Q&A event with 2024 Emmy Awards nominees. They will participate in two video discussions to premiere on Tuesday, August 13, at 4:00 p.m. PT; 7:00 p.m. ET. We’ll have a one-on-one with our editor Joyce Eng and a roundtable chat with all of the group together.

Baby Reindeer

Synopsis: The story follows writer and performer Richard Gadd’s warped relationship with a female stalker and the impact it has on him as he is ultimately forced to face a deep, dark buried trauma.

Bio: Mekel Bailey is a first-time Emmy nominee. Other projects have included “The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk,” “Chairs” and “Cumotherhood.”

The Gilded Age

Synopsis: The series follows the conflicts surrounding the new money Russell family and their old money neighbors, the van Rhijn family, in 1880s New York City high society.

Bio: Kasia Walicka Maimone is a first-time Emmy nominee. Other projects have included “Bridge of Spies,” “A Quiet Place” and “The Pale Blue Eye.”

The Regime

Synopsis: Kate Winslet stars in this limited series as the Chancellor of an unnamed Central European nation that is unraveling behind the palace walls.

Bio: Consolata Boyle was a three-time Oscar nominee for “The Queen,” “Florence Foster Jenkins” and “Victoria and Abdul.” She was an Emmy winner for “The Lion in Winter” and was also nominated for “Into the Storm.”

The Righteous Gemstones

Synopsis: Follows a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work.

Bio: Christina Flannery is a first-time Emmy nominee. Other projects have included “Semper Fi,” “The Chi” and “On the Verge.”
