• The Curtain Theatre’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” opens Saturday at the Old Mill Park Amphitheatre in Mill Valley. The play, directed by Michele Delattre, continues through Sept. 2; the showtimes are 2 p.m. weekends and Labor Day Monday. Admission is free. Go to curtaintheatre.org.

• Michael Gene Sullivan adapts Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors” for the Marin Shakes show from Aug. 17 through Sept. 15 at the Forest Meadows Amphitheatre at 890 Belle Ave. in San Rafael.
