Vietnamese billionaire gets 21 years jail for defrauding stockholders

HANOI, Vietnam: Trinh Van Quyet, a prominent Vietnamese business tycoon, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for defrauding stockholders of nearly $150 million by falsely inflating the value of his company.

The verdict comes amid the Vietnamese government's crackdown on widespread corruption.
