Queen’s Park are delighted to announce that Alyssa McGlashan from Kings Park Primary School was the winner of the recent ‘Design a Pizza’ competition that was run in conjunction with club partners Di Maggio’s.
The theme for the competition was to create a Pizza using four ingredients from a country that took part in EURO 2024 and Alyssa designed the ‘Hungry Hungary Pizza’.
Alyssa popped into Di Maggios, which is part of the DRG Group that also includes Amarone, Barolo, Café Andaluz, The Citizen, Atlantic Brasserie, The Anchor Line, Paesano Pizza and Sugo Pasta in their family, to see her pizza being created and more importantly taste it!
As well as meeting DRG Group Director Mario Gizzi and Queen’s Park player Roddy MacGregor Alyssa won a voucher for a meal at Di Maggio’s for her family and a Queen’s Park Goodie Bag.
Alyssa’s teacher, also received a voucher to be used at Di Maggio’s with Queen’s Park’s Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary saying: “Our congratulations go to Alyssa and our thanks go to all the pupils from local schools that took part.
“It is terrific that the club’s relationship with DRG allows such a wonderful competition to be held and I am delighted to announce that we will be running another one during the course of this season.”
Mario Gizzi added: “It was great fun to look through all the entries and Alyssa’s ‘Hungry Hungary’ was a great addition to our menu. We have been running the ‘Design a Pizza’ competition for three years now and the creativity from the children is fantastic and I am looking forward to seeing what this season brings.”
