Keve calls for modernisation of state pavilions to boost Cyprus’ global presence

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) this week said that there is an urgent need to modernise state pavilions and streamline procedures to enhance Cyprus’ presence at international exhibitions and attract investors.

In a statement, the chamber said that a meeting took place this week, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, to discuss a grant scheme for the participation of Cypriot businesses in foreign exhibitions through a state pavilion.

The meeting focused on exchanging views and submitting suggestions to improve the implementation of the scheme, with more than 30 businesses from various sectors taking part.

Moreover, Keve underlined the importance of promoting outward-looking strategies and active participation in international trade fairs, describing these as “crucial priorities for strengthening Cypriot entrepreneurship and promoting Cypriot products and services in global markets”.

In addition, the chamber said that the discussion underscored the importance of modernising procedures and state pavilions to ensure the competitiveness of Cypriot businesses on an international level.

“Upgrading these pavilions, both in terms of design and technology, will provide businesses with the tools they need to compete in an ever-changing global environment,” Keve stated.

Finally, in its statement, the chamber noted that during the meeting, participants had the opportunity to express their views and propose specific actions to improve the effectiveness of the grant scheme in question.
