Fox News host tells Democrats to 'reject your crazies' — then defends 'not crazy' Trump

Fox News' Greg Gutfeld insisted on Wednesday's edition of "The Five" that the Democratic Party needs to do more to reject their "crazies" the way Republicans do — then laughingly dismissed Democratic counterpart Jessica Tarlov when she pointed out they have done nothing to reject former President Donald Trump, who easily won renomination for the third time in a row despite inciting a riot at the U.S. Capitol four years ago.

"You know, we reject our crazies," said Gutfeld. "It's time for you guys to reject them. Give me a crazy person. I'll reject 'em."

"Donald Trump," Tarlov shot back.

"See, that's your problem," Gutfeld retorted. "He's not crazy. That's your problem ... there's nothing he believes in that even comes close to tampons for boys!"

Gutfeld is referring to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signing a bill that made menstrual products available for free in school restrooms throughout the state, but did not explicitly include a provision limiting them to girls' restrooms — a fact that Trump's surrogates have targeted as a point of contention.

This came during a segment in which several hosts in the panel tried to attack Walz's service in the Army National Guard, focusing on the fact that he retired after 24 years of service, a few months before his unit was called up for the Iraq War.

In recent weeks, Gutfeld has stirred controversy repeatedly, comparing President Joe Biden to the last days of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, and suggested America might have to have another civil war because "elections don't work."
