I spent £10 on Sun Bingo and now I could win an amazing Summer Treat

The theme for this session was “summer treats”, so a game called “Summer Spins” seemed like a good place to start.

As soon as the game loads, you’re transported to a sunny beach location with steelpan music that makes you feel as though you’re on a tropical, Caribbean island.

While the icons are on brand for the theme (melting ice lollies, ice creams and sunglass-wearing suns) they aren’t the most exciting to look at.

Sitting static and flat on the screen, I wonder if more could have been done to keep up the high-energy atmosphere that the music evokes.

I adjusted my bet amount by clicking “Bet” in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Your total bet is based on how much you stake per active line. Unlike some other games that allow you to change the number of active paylines, which helps to reduce the minimum stake amount, this game is locked at 20 active lines.

It means that the minimum bet is 20p and the maximum is £20.

WOULD YOU SURVIVE A SHARKNADO?

Wanting to sample a few stake sizes, I played with 20p and 60p bets. I managed to bag four game wins, with the highest win worth £1.08.

This game does also have Wild and Free Spin bonus features, and even the chance to play virtual scratch cards if you land three or more Feature symbols.

However, I didn’t get to see what these features are like during my session.

Keeping up the summer theme, I flew off to the exotic destination of this next slot.

It also uses a tropical beach background but the music, while upbeat, is decidedly less summer inspired.

Playing on a board surrounded by inflatable flamingos, a nice touch, the icons are also suitably in keeping with the theme: lollies, bucket and spade, flippers and swim shorts.

PLAY SUNNY GAMES AT SUN BINGO

This game is simpler in terms of selecting your stake amount. It doesn’t use paylines.

Instead, you must get at least eight of the same symbol on the board in order to win.

It means that all you have to do before playing is select a stake size between 20p and £5.

That’s significantly less than the maximum amount of Summer Spins.

If that’s a factor you consider when selecting a game, it’s good to know.  

MAKE UP A GAME OF PLAY-ALONG EASTENDERS BINGO

An exciting element to this slot is the cascade feature. It means that when you win, the winning icons disappear and all the remaining symbols trickle down to fill the gaps and new icons entering the board.

If another win occurs, the cascade feature activates again. It can be a great way to get multiple wins on one stake amount.

I got to see this in action when I won on one of my spins.

The idea of matching symbols rather than paylines is a refreshing difference and I think makes the game easier to understand and more enjoyable to play.

One of the great things to do in the sunny weather is enjoy outdoor spaces such as gardens.

When you first open this game, it isn’t as immediately exciting as the other two games in this session.

There’s no background music, the colours are less vibrant and the graphics seem more simplistic.

What this game does have, however, that the others don’t have is jackpots.

Players could win a Mini, Maxi or Mega jackpot. The cash amounts are not variable according to your stake amount.

I prefer that as it doesn’t discriminate based on how much players have bet.

Instead, the pot sizes grow until they are triggered or reach their upper limits of £50, £500 or £50,000, respectively.
