Sky and Virgin Media customers receive access to new streaming service today with up to 100 live channels
A BRAND new streaming service has been launched by Sky with up to 100 live channels available.
The number of live streams will depend what’s going on, providing sports fans with even more choice than ever before.
Sky Sports+ effectively provides Sky Sports subscribers 50 per cent more sport at no extra cost, according to Sky.
This includes extensive EFL coverage, with more than 1,000 live game and every Carabao Cup fixture, as well as all matches from the men’s Super League.
Meanwhile, tennis fans will have access to more than 100 tournaments across the US Open, ATP, and WTA tours.
The first Sky Sports+ action is the ARP and WTA tours today at 4pm, with seven games showing at the same time, followed by the Wyndham Championship.
Friday and Saturday will see several EFL League One and Two games, as well as the Rugby League.
Sky Sports+ is also home to sporting documentaries, available to Sky Sports subscribers two weeks before they debut on the Sky Documentaries channel.
As part of the move, the linear Sky Sports Arena channel has been revamped to Sky Sports+.
The new service is integrated into existing Sky devices – Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream – and the Sky Sports app too.
NOW customers who subscribe to Sky Sports have access, as do Virgin Media viewers.
Owners of a Virgin TV 360 box or Stream from Virgin Media can get Sky Sports+ by going to channel 508 or any other Sky Sports channel.
Press the red button on your remote and it will take you to the extra Sky Sports+ coverage.
Anyone with a TiVo box or V6 box (powered by TiVo) won’t be able to access the red button content, so you will have to upgrade your kit if you’re interested in getting the full amount of Sky Sports+.
Customers of EE TV – formerly known as BT TV – can stream Sky Sports+ via a NOW Sports subscription on both the EE TV 4K Pro Box, and the new custom Apple TV box.
A NOW Sports subscription is included on EE TV’s Big Sport and Full Works plans.
