FINOM marks fifth anniversary by setting new Guinness World Record
FINOM, a leading European digital banking solution for SMEs and entrepreneurs, has won a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the most cake pops decorated in one hour. The feat was accomplished in Limassol, Cyprus during FINOM’s fifth anniversary celebration, with 645 cake pops expertly decorated. The event brought together 80 participants from FINOM, including team members from the company’s Cyprus hub and other locations. Three of four co-founders – Kos Stiskin, Yakov Novikov, and Oleg Laguta – led the effort. An official Guinness World Records adjudicator, Glenn Andrew Pollard, was there to verify the achievement and present FINOM with an official certificate.
FINOM has a lot to celebrate on its fifth anniversary – a hugely successful funding round with amazing investors that understand our mission, obtaining an EMI licence, launching local IBAN accounts in France, Spain and Italy, reaching a milestone of 100,000 customers, getting shortlisted for top industry awards as the best financial solution for European SMEs, and much more. We wanted to celebrate our five years with a treat, but instead of one huge cake we decided to make a lot of delicious cake pops – and win a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title while doing it!

FINOM’s record-setting feat puts it in rare company. According to available data, only a handful of IT companies, and even fewer fintechs, have GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles. Some notable examples include Dell Technologies’ largest human letter in 2016, largest simultaneous yodel in 2015 organised by Yahoo, and Orfield Laboratories having the quietest room on Earth.
