The DVLA has had enough of motorists ‘jokes’ and has banned 365 number plates for being too rude.

As a new number plate switch to ’74’ dawns upons us, the DVLA has revealed which ones are too naughty or cringe to be made available.

Senior members from the DVLA have a bi-annual meeting where to choose which plates they do not want to see on the roads.

They examine potentially offensive meanings that can be used using the latest registration number.
