Noah Lyles is now the fastest man in the world and he’s got a partner who can keep up.
Lyles, 27, has been dating Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield for two years. The couple, who are both representing their countries at the Paris Olympics, celebrated their second anniversary on Monday amid all the track and field festivities at the Games.
Naturally, the two didn’t have much time to take in the moment, but Lyles is already planning how they’ll commemorate the occasion once the Olympics are over.
“I got pretty big plans for a celebration,” Lyles said. “I’m trying to give her a little more time. Last year, we kind of went on a Noah Lyles campaign. Unfortunately, that cut into a lot of our vacation time, so I’m trying to be a better boyfriend and give her a lot more time for us to be a couple.”
Bromfield, 26, is competing in her second Olympics after capturing a bronze medal in the 4x400m relay in Tokyo — an event she won at the World Indoor Championships in 2022. Bromfield made the semifinals in the women’s 400 in Paris, but didn’t advance to the final.
