2024 USA TODAY Sports preseason Super 25 football rankings
High school football's longest-running Super 25 kicks off the 2024 season.
The Super 25 franchise comes out of the tunnel for a 43rd year and enters a new chapter to the long-standing gridiron tradition that has been a significant part of USA TODAY Sports’ history.
This year, the weekly football rankings will include selection insights from USA TODAY Network editors around the country, complementing the various data points that include strength of schedule, prospects, point differentials, and the more time-honored eye test—did the team win or lose?
To prepare for the 2024 kickoffs ahead, the High School Sports staff and USA TODAY Network editors have selected the preseason Super 25, which includes a familiar team atop the rankings.

With Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) opening up at No. 1, another chase and chance at high school football history enters the equation: If the Monarchs hold the top spot all season, it will break a tie with De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) for most Super 25 championships.
However, 24 other teams—and countless others on the radar—stand in the way of Super 25 supremacy.
