MedStar reported that a person drowned in the Marine Creek Reservoir, according to local CBS affiliate KTVT-TV.

Horrifying video from the scene appears to show the Fort Worth Fire Department pulling an unresponsive body out of the water and putting it in a body bag.

A run-swim competition event for the 2024 CrossFit Games started at the lake at 7 am – just an hour before emergency crews were called.

Before reports of the drowning came in, there was speculation that a swimmer had vanished.

The reports were sparked by footage of a competitor in the event struggling in the water.

The event was set to be live-streamed on multiple platforms, but the video feed has been cut.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to CrossFit Games and the FWFD for comment.
