Teens, 18 & 16, killed in horror crash in woodland as boy, 16 & girl, 14, in critical condition
TWO teenagers have died in a horror woodland crash which left a boy and girl fighting for their lives.
Police were called to a back country road at Haldon near Exeter, Devon, at 1.20am after a single vehicle crash involving a silver Peugeot 107.
Two teenagers were killed and two others are fighting for their lives.
The 18-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger died at the scene.
Two other passengers, a 16-year-old youth and 14-year-old girl, are in a critical condition.
A fifth person, a 16-year-old passenger, was also injured but not seriously hurt.
Sergeant Phil Brown, of the Serious Collisions Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the families following this tragic incident.
“We understand the community will be concerned about this incident involving young members of our community.
” I wish to reassure the public that specialist officers are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision and would particularly like to speak to any witnesses who we have not yet spoken to.

The names of the dead and injured teenagers have not been disclosed.
