Real Sociedad are telling Liverpool target Martin Zubimendi he would be better staying at the club for one more year, according to the Daily Mail.

 

Liverpool are putting in a big push to take Zubimendi to Anfield this summer and the Spanish midfielder is open to the move happening.

 

He has a release clause of €60m in his contract at Real Sociedad and there is little the club can do if Liverpool trigger it.

 

 

Liverpool are speaking to Real Sociedad though as they might prefer to pay slightly more than €60m to get payment terms to avoid needing to pay the sum all at once.

 

Real Sociedad have not given up on keeping Zubimendi though.

 

 

They are telling the midfielder that he might be better off doing at least one more year at the club.

 

Zubimendi is being told to remember how favourable the conditions at the club and the surrounding area are.

 

 

Arsenal and Bayern Munich tried to convince him to leave last year and Zubimendi has a deep affection for Real Sociedad.

 

Liverpool are looking to succeed where they failed, but Real Sociedad are not giving up.
