According to Haber Sarikirmizi, Galatasaray are now plotting a move for Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon, who is surplus to requirements at the Premier League side.

Sergio Reguilon is set to leave Tottenham

Reguilon’s four-year spell at Tottenham is expected to come to an end this summer, with the Spaniard evidently not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

With the 27-year-old now down to the final year of his contract at Spurs and not being part of the club’s pre-season preparations, the writing seems on the wall for the left-back.

Haber Sarikirmizi have now claimed that Reguilon has emerged as a target for Galatasaray, with the Turkish club alleged to have made contact over a potential deal for the former Real Madrid man.

Galatasaray want Sergio Reguilon

The outlet also spoke to journalist Mustafa Ozgur Sancar, who appears convinced that the Spurs star is the Istanbul club’s number one left-back target.

He is quoted in the report as saying: “Galatasaray have decided to buy a left-back. Sergio Reguilon is a player that Galatasaray are really interested in.

“After the Super Cup defeat, important transfers have to be made. Derrick Kohn makes too many mistakes defensively. Galatasaray needs a solid left-back like Sergio Reguilon and will insist.”

This report comes a couple of days after Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe said on the Last World on Spurs that Postecoglou’s men have been trying to offload Regulion from the start of the summer.

There is not likely to be any shortage of interest in Reguilon, given how he performed on loan at Manchester United and Brentford last season.

I would be surprised if the 27-year-old moves to the Turkish league as his preference would likely be to return to La Liga.
