Parliament completes budget exercise for fiscal 2024-25

On Thursday, the Rajya Sabha completed the parliamentary approval for the Budget 2024-25 by returning the Appropriation Bill, Finance Bill, and Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill to the Lok Sabha. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman defended the Budget in her reply, highlighting its focus on investments, job creation, growth, and fiscal consolidation.
