One dead, one injured in auto-ped crash in west Austin

One person died and another was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in west Austin Thursday morning.

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person died and another was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in west Austin Thursday morning.

Austin-Travis County EMS said on X at 9:16 a.m. medics were on the scene in the 2500 block of Hillview Road, where two people were "reportedly struck by a vehicle."

In an update at 9:22 a.m., ATCEMS said one person was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was transported to Dell Seton with potentially serious injuries.
