'Apparently Kid' Recreates His Viral Moment 10 Years Later

In August 2014, a plucky red-haired five-year-old boy went mega viral after being interview by the local news at a Pennsylvania fair thanks to his enthusiasm for the word "apparently." And a decade later, Noah Ritter, now 15, is reflecting back on his brief foray into celebrity.

Speaking with WNEP-TV again at the Wayne County Fair alongside his grandfather, Jack, who was there with him for the 2014 interview, Noah recreated one of the famous lines from the clip. "And apparently, I’ve never been on live television before. My grandpa gives me the remote every time we watch the Powerball," he quipped

"Feels pretty good, I feel nostalgic about it," Noah said, when asked about how he felt saying the line all these years later. "Makes me reminiscent about being here, this exact spot 10 years ago."

"I wouldn't trade my buddy for the world," he said, putting around his grandfather, who was "deeply involved" in Noah's upbringing and accompanied him on his ensuing media blitz, which included the Ellen show, Good Morning America, and a stint on the ABC Shark Tank-esque reality series geared for kids, The Toy Box. Together, the pair met a host of celebrities including Chris Pratt, Bill Clinton, Sophia Vergara, Jim Carrey, Bryce Dallas Howard, and even Ariana Grande.

These days, Noah has taken a step back from Hollywood but continues to share his adventures with his grandpa on the internet. "He keeps me young. Well, we go to movies all the time," Jack said.

"Whenever a new movie comes out, we like to review it, post it on my YouTube Channel," Noah continued. "Now I’m juggling YouTube, school, football, track, a bunch of other stuff. I’m going into my sophomore year. I’m getting ready to drive."

"Coming here, enjoying the rides, enjoying the food, seeing all the animals, and stuff like that," he added of going the fair every year with his grandfather, who had also been attending since he was a boy. "See, I think I’ll come here every year, when they have it. I think I’ll keep the streak going."

And although the reporter who originally interviewed him, Sofia Ojeda, currently works as a news anchor for KPRC-TV in Houston, she likewise commemorated the milestone on social media.

"10 years ago was such a fun time," she posted, along with a crying laughing emoji.
