Tom Cruise Might Be One of Hollywood’s Most Loved Co-Stars After This Confession From Gina Gershon

While Tom Cruise might be quite a controversial figure in Hollywood, his co-stars gush about him time and time again. Most recently, his former co-star Gina Gershon, who starred with the Mission Impossible star in 1988’s Cocktail, couldn’t help but sing his praises.

In an appearance at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Gershon got candid about their dynamic together. And no, there wasn’t any funny business between them.

“He had just gotten married and his wife was very present,” Gershon said of his first wife, Mimi Rogers. “But we did kiss as much as we could,” she added, explaining that they’d often add kisses to scenes that didn’t have them before.

In the movie, Cruise, who plays a bartender struggling to make enough cash to open his own business, shares a sex scene with Gershon. The scene just happened to be her first-ever scene of that nature. Luckily, Cruise was a “gentleman.”

“I told him, at one point, he starts off under the covers, and I told him I was very ticklish, I said ‘No, no, don’t ever do that,'” Gershon remembered.

“In one take I have to say… I think he wanted a reaction, he grabbed my stomach and I kneed him right in the nose. I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I just broke Tom Cruise’s nose,'” she said. “He’s like ‘No, no you told me.’ I was like ‘I’m so sorry’, he was like ‘No, it was my fault.”

“He was so protective over me,” Gershon added. “He was great.”

Gershon isn’t the only former co-star of Cruise who recently reflected on their time together. In July, Cruise’s ex-wife Nicole Kidman looked back at their time together in Stanley Kubrick’s drama Eyes Wide Shut in 1999.

“We had a home 10 minutes away, but we lived in that trailer,” Kidman said of Cruise. The pair was married from 1990 to 2001. “Tom and I shared it because Stanley would say, ‘You’re not each getting a trailer. We can’t afford it.’”

“Tom had a smaller area because he was running stuff,” she said. “And he’d play video games. That was when [“Minesweeper”] was big. So there was a lot of that.”

So while Kidman might refrain from singing too many praises about her ex, it seems they got along swimmingly too. Looks like Cruise is nothing but a “gentleman” with his co-stars.
