ASSISTANT CONTROLLER-GENERAL OF FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE COMMENDS LAGOS STATE FIRE SERVICE

The Federal Fire Service has commended the Lagos State Fire Service for its efficiency and continuous improvement in the operations of fire incidents and rescue services across the State.

The Assistant Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service, Mrs. Ijeoma Achi-Okidi gave the commendation recently when she paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at its headquarters on Governor’s Road, Alausa.

Mrs. Achi-Okidi, the newly posted Assistant Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service for Zone F, South West, Lagos Command, while taking a tour of the facility,  expressed her admiration for the advanced equipment and the dedication of the officers at the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

She emphasised the importance of continued cooperation between the two agencies and expressed her desire for increased synergy in her new role.

The Director, Lagos State and Fire Rescue Service, Mrs. Adeseye, leading the visitor on a tour of the facility, showcased the state-of-the-art equipment acquired under the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration, highlighting their significant enhancements to the Agency’s capability in efficiently managing fire emergencies in the state.

While outlining a detailed roadmap of the progress and achievements of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service since she assumed leadership in 2019, Adeseye assured the Federal Fire Service team of her Agency’s full cooperation and readiness to collaborate, noting that all the achievements would have been impossible if not for Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s commitment.

“The visit underscores the mutual commitment of both the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Federal Fire Service to improve fire safety and emergency response capabilities in Lagos State and beyond. It also aims to enhance the effectiveness of fire safety measures and ensure the well-being of residents while demonstrating a shared vision for a safer and more resilient community”, Adeseye said
