Troy man arraigned on murder, attempted murder charges
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man was arraigned in Albany County Supreme Court Thursday morning. Daquan Arrington, 24, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, two counts of second-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment.
According to the Albany County District Attorney's Office, on June 5, Arrington is accused of causing the death of Javon Ward with another person, Paul Smith. Also, he's accused of possessing an illegal, loaded, and operable firearm recklessly.
Additionally, authorities say on June 3, Arrington and Smith are accused of having an illegal firearm while attempting to kill a victim.
Arrington was remanded to the Albany County Jail pending further court action.
