Bindi Irwin does a lot of traveling with her 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior. And if anyone’s gone on a trip with a toddler before, you know exactly how hard it is! She just revealed one must-have item she brings “everywhere” with her to keep her daughter entertained, and you’ll want your own immediately.
“Moment in art. 🎨” the Australia Zoo CEO posted on Instagram. She shared an adorably artsy photo of Grace sitting at a table and coloring. But she didn’t have just any coloring book or blank sheet of paper in front of her — she was coloring animals printed on a silicone art mat created in collaboration with the Australia Zoo’s Crocodile Hunter Lodge and Hey Doodle!
“We collaborated with Hey Doodle to create these beautiful reusable art mats for #AustraliaZoo and #TheCrocodileHunterLodge,” Irwin continued, adding, “They’re so sweet and we take them everywhere we travel. 💕”
The cute mat has tons of wild animals on it, like a kangaroo, cockatoo, snake, koala bear, turtle, and crocodile of course. You can tell Grace colored it with an adult helper, as some of the animals are colored perfectly in the lines and others are just scribbled on (hey, life’s too short to always color in the lines anyway!).
Bindi’s mom commented, “Reusable art is the best!” Another wrote, “Future artist. 🎨🖌️”
“Oh I love it 😍 we take them everywhere with us, so good!” someone else wrote. Another parent wrote, “We totally agree, these travel mats are the best. Our daughter colours hers everyday 😊❤️.”
You don’t have to worry about your kid coloring all over restaurant tables or in the car, the pictures wipe off for endless entertainment, and it’s a nice screen-free option. We’re huge fans, too!
