I sweat through makeup but it stays on all day thanks to my ‘mind-blowing’ combo – I can’t recommend a $7 buy enough
A SWEATY makeup fan has shared a combo that keeps their products intact.
They explained that the technique locks in their look all day.
A Redditor shared the makeup application tip in a post.
They explained that they had to adopt a new strategy when they began sweating more than they used to.
“There’s a long backstory here, but a few years ago, my body stopped being able to control its temperature, and as a result, I sweat like a middle-aged hypertensive tradie with menopause in a crowded pub with no aircon in the last week of January,” they said.
“I sweat a lot.”
Since then, they revealed that a combination of two products held their makeup products down.
“I’ve just discovered the combo of The Ordinary’s High Adherence Primer and MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation, and it’s blown my f**king mind,” they said.
The inexpensive $6.70 The Ordinary primer works to hold down the $39.50 oil control Mac foundation.
While the combination hasn’t fixed their sweating problem, it’s made sure that their makeup sits still.
“Guys, I am sweating through my makeup. BUT THE MAKEUP STAYS ON,” they said.
“Also, I put my makeup on at 6:30 am this morning, and I’m still sitting here with a full face,” they added.
“Seriously, [I] can’t recommend [it] enough.”
Other beauty fans raved about the effectiveness of the cheap primer.
One said she noticed an “instant improvement to finer surface unevenness.”
“It definitely immediately helped smooth out finer wrinkles, pores, general textural unevenness, and even helped blend some redder patches,” she wrote.
