Husband whose wife was pistol-whipped and tied up in £2million jewellery raid says finding her was like ‘horror movie’

A HUSBAND whose wife was pistol-whipped in a £2million “Night Watcher” jewellery raid said finding her tied up and injured was like a “horror movie”.

The lone 63-year-old victim was approached at her front door by a balaclava-wearing thug before the attack.

A suspected jewellery robber pistol-whipped his victim in Sevenoaks, Kent after confronting her on her doorstep

Cops are investigating the possibility the robber could be the Night Watcher, who has carried out raids from 2006 across Surrey, Sussex, Kent, London and Berks.

His latest victim’s husband said their home “no longer feels like our safe haven, but a constant reminder of the mental and physical trauma inflicted”.

The fiend struck in Sevenoaks, Kent, just before 4pm on June 21, hitting his victim with the handle of a gun.

He got away with 50 pieces of jewellery, including diamond-encrusted earrings, a sapphire pendant and watches.

The husband said: “Finding my injured wife with her hands and legs bound was shocking and that image will stay with me.

“It’s what you might expect to see in a horror movie.”

Cops have issued CCTV images of a suspect in a balaclava.
