Chrissy Teigen ‘Competes’ Against Her Daughters Luna & Esti to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader in the Cutest New Video
Cheerleading isn’t a sport — it’s a lifestyle. Especially to current (and wannabe) Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Trust me, I’ve seen the Netflix documentary America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, so I would know. Apparently, Chrissy Teigen’s seen it too, because she just shared a parody video that will have you rolling on the floor laughing. In it, she “competes” against her daughters Luna, 8, and Esti, 18 months, for a spot on the squad, and it’s unbelievably cute.
“Hello my name is Chrissy! I have been a DCC for the past four years,” the Cravings author says in the video on Instagram. The camera is set up to look like an interview room on a reality TV show, and cuts to scenes of Teigen stretching next to a playground in the backyard. She is dressed exactly like a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, complete with the long-sleeve blue crop top with tasseled fringe, white booty shorts with blue stars, and white cowboy boots.
In the clip, she jokes that she also works “as an archaeologist just west of the Nile River,” who “solo discovered the last triceratops that was found.” But never mind that, cheerleading is “hands down my priority,” according to the mom of four.
Next up is Luna! She wore a blue tank top and silver skirt for the audition, telling the camera that it’s her first year trying out. She effortlessly lifts one leg up above her head and then goes into a perfect splits. “I don’t know, the competition isn’t that tough,” she says, clearly throwing shade at her mom.
At one point, Teigen and Luna are putting on makeup, and in walks another competitor: baby Esti! The toddler looks like an adorable princess in a huge blue tulle dress, matching headband, and white t-shirt. Later, Teigen jokingly talks about all the women in her family being DCC members. She added with a laugh, “It’s not really nepotism, if you earned it by way of your family.”
There are scenes of Luna cheering with blue-and-white pom-poms while Teigen pretends to look on disgusted, Esti dancing with a phone, and Teigen showing off her routine. “She’s a mess,” Luna tells the camera. By the time the new captain announced (spoiler alert: it was Luna!), Teigen claps like a jealous mess. It’s too good!
“I made Sebastian tiny pom poms,” she captioned the video, referring to their pet reptile. “I really need a steady job.” In the comments, Teigen added, “Being mean to Esti was soooo hard she was soooo cute and had a shirt on that said ‘cutest cowboys fan’ ????????????.” It’s OK, it’s all in the name of comedy!

Judy Trammell, current head choreographer of the squad, wrote, “Luna is great!!!!! You too Chrissy ❤️????” The official DCC Instagram account even commented, “Killed it, DCC Chrissy! DCC Luna dropped this ⭐️????⚡️”
This isn’t the first time Teigen has enlisted her kids to help her make funny videos. She made a parody to Bravo TV’s Below Deck last month, comparing parenting to “yachting.” “I love my job … it’s the clients that are really tough,” she tells the camera, dressed in a boat captain outfit. The camera pans to Luna and 6-year-old Miles screaming about wanting more toys. Later, she reads the “preferences” of her priority guests, which include “Asian food, candy, milkshakes, Tate McRae, pizza from Papa John’s, and more candy and toys.”
We’ll be anxiously awaiting the next installment of Teigen TV. Maybe her husband John Legend and their 1-year-old baby Miles will make an appearance next? It’ll definitely be comedy gold either way!
