Karnataka must curb rampant tourism development in Ghats or face Wayanad-like disasters

Recent landslides in Wayanad and Uttara Kannada highlighted unregulated development in the Western Ghats. Despite past disasters, construction persists, jeopardizing lives and the environment. Environmentalists call for sustainable practices, but government approvals continue. CM Siddaramaiah promised to consider stricter measures to prevent such disasters in the future.
