I was the heaviest I’d ever been at 48 but now I’m 50 I dance around in tiny shorts – people’s jaw drop when they see me

A FITNESS lover has left people open-mouthed with her epic physique makeover in a short amount of time.

Just two years ago, when Tania Baron was 48, she was at her heaviest weight ever, struggling with hormones that ”were off”.

Just in 2022, the mum was at the heaviest weight she’s ever been, eating a diet high in sugars

Whilst she was working out to keep fit, her diet was off, with the mum drinking a whopping six cups of coffee a day, binging on ”tons of sugar” and chocolate chip cookies – all of which eventually caused the pounds to pile on.

But with her hormones off track, the stunning brunette decided to embark on a weight loss journey and working on her gut health in March, 2022.

The morning brew was swapped with matcha lattes, heaps of veggies, nutritious salmon, greens, berries with healthy fats, just to name a few.

Instead of snacking all the time, Tania focused on ”actual meals” that would make her fuller for longer, often opting for protein-rich foods.

Her current lifestyle looks worlds away from her past eating habits, with Tania going for a gluten-free toast with ghee or butter for a pre-lifting snack.

Once the gruelling session at the gym is over, the fitness lover will have fresh berries – or choose a protein shake to fuel her muscles.

This will then be followed with a scrumptious tofu scramble with heaps of vegetables for extra essential minerals and vitamins.

To end the full day of eating, the mum, who posts under the username @officialtaniabaron, will enjoy a no-sugar added shake with a frozen banana, frozen diced cauliflower and peanut butter for healthy fats.

Although working out helps with keeping fit – as well as improving your mental health – Tania revealed that abs are made in the kitchen.

”You don’t need to work out to death but nutrition is 80%. I follow a Gut Health nutrition plan,” she told her 22k followers on TikTok.

”While I don’t count calories or macros, it doesn’t mean those methods don’t work. It ALL works…you just gotta do what works for you.

”How do you know if it’s working? You’ll feel it! You’ll eventually see it.

”And most importantly, it’ll be a sustainable way that won’t make you go mental.

”It should never be complicated nor miserable. Eat good food that tastes good,” the fit mum wrote in the caption of the post.

Now noticeably leaner and glowy, the toned gym babe reminded that ”it’s never too late to make a change” – and she is living proof of it.

How to lose weight safely

Losing weight should be a long-term commitment to healthier living, rather than any drastic measures.

The NHS tips – which can be adopted slowly – include:

  • Get active for 150 minutes a week – you can break this up into shorter sessions
  • Aim to get your 5 A Day – 80g of fresh, canned or frozen fruit or vegetables count as 1 portion
  • Aim to lose 1 to 2lbs, or 0.5 to 1kg, a week
  • Read food labels – products with more green colour coding than amber and red are often a healthier option
  • Swap sugary drinks for water – if you do not like the taste, add slices of lemon or lime for flavour
  • Cut down on food that’s high in sugar and fat – start by swapping sugary cereal for wholegrain alternatives
  • Share your weight loss plan with someone you trust – they can help motivate you when you have a bad day
