Cindy Crawford reveals the lip liner trick ‘everyone did’ that was ‘very ’90s’ – and the exact brand and color they used
THERE were no TikTok beauty tutorials in the ’90s when supermodel Cindy Crawford was the ultimate It Girl.
So the 58-year-old has gamely flashed back and shared the lip liner hack “everyone did” at the time — and the budget-friendly shade they were using.
Cindy spilled the beans on the retro trick with Allure, which posted the video on TikTok.
She said “everyone did” the same makeup trick in the ’90s using MAC’s Spice lip pencil.
However, she wanted to use the color Amaretto from her friend Terri’s Very Terri collection to update the look.
Cindy puckered her lips as she began to demonstrate how best to apply the lip pencil.
“A lip pencil is really good because you can correct unevenness,” she said.
She overdrew one side of her lips to achieve a more balanced pout and revealed her daughter is also a fan of overdrawn lips.
She said using a lip color that’s similar to her skin is great because she’ll never finish lunch with makeup noticeably missing.
“I think a neutral lip is very 90s, especially with a dramatic eye,” she said.
Cindy used a product from Charlotte Tilbury on her lips followed by Tarte’s Juicy Lip Balm in the color Maracuja.
She raved about the importance of wanting her lips to be moisturized.
“A dry lip can look really cool, especially for a photo shoot or on a runway but for real life it doesn’t feel good,” she said.
