Rock band 38 Special to perform at NYS Food Festival
The New York State Food Festival is set for Wednesday, August 14 from 11 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. Rock band 38 Special will be headlining the event.
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York State Food Festival is set for Wednesday, August 14 from 11 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. Rock band 38 Special will be headlining the event.
The NYS Food Festival features food vendors with West African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, American, and Asian cuisines, drinks, activities, and music. The music starts at noon during the Empire State Plaza Farmers Market with the band Rock Voices on the Lunchtime at the Plaza Stage.
"Every year, OGS brings people from across the Capital Region together for the Food Festival at the Empire State Plaza to enjoy a variety of global cuisines and live music,” said Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy. “One of the biggest events during our annual Summer at the Plaza series, the Food Festival is a great time to create memorable moments with friends and family. I invite everyone to come and join us for a day full of fun."

38 Special has released more than 15 albums with over 20 million in sales since 1976. The band is best known for the songs “Hold on Loosely” and “Caught Up In You.”

You can park for free in the East Garage, Madison Avenue, and Grand Street parking lots. Paid parking is available in the visitor lot at the Empire State Plaza.
