Austin Municipal Court announces two changes to its operations

Hours will change at Austin Municipal Court's main location as well as a change in locations to the North Customer Service Center, per a press release from the City of Austin.

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Hours will change at Austin Municipal Court's main location as well as a change in locations to the North Customer Service Center, per a press release from the City of Austin.

Starting on August 12, the Austin Municipal Court's main location at the Bergstrom Tech Center will be changing when it opens and closes.

The Austin Municipal Court will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with hours being extended on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The City of Austin said that phone hours will remain unchanged and that these hours will not impact the City Hall location.

Along with the operational changes, the Austin Municipal Court announced its North Customer Service Center will move from its current location at 12425 Lamplight Village Avenue to a new location across the street at 2121 West Parmer Lane, Suite 116.

The Austin Municipal Court said the new location will continue to serve as an in-person service center with service windows available. They said the hours at this location will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We have updated our operating hours and North Customer Service Center location to ensure that the Court makes efficient use of resources while honoring our commitment to provide fair and prompt service to individuals interacting with our department,” says Mary Jane Grubb, Municipal Court Clerk.
